Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Environmental Studies (CES) has partnered with the U.S. Geological Survey to develop a series of online modules that will assist in understanding the science and challenges related to algal blooms, improving communication among decision makers and others. Devastating algal blooms have topped Florida headlines during the past few years. However, algal blooms are not a new problem, and the documented cases of algal blooms are on the rise around the world. Harmful algal blooms are a growing concern for the public and decision makers.
