Where? Bay Preserve is approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Sarasota and located at 400 Palmetto Drive, Osprey, just west of US-41. From US-41, turn west on Webb St. or W. Oak St., then north on Palmetto Drive. Take Palmetto Drive to its terminus at the shelled parking lot of Bay Preserve. After parking, follow the driveway down to the main house on the water.

John Ringling was one of the five brothers who founded the Ringling Brothers Circus. John and his wife Mable settled in Sarasota in 1911 to build their extravagant winter home and a center for the arts.
