Bring your students to the Riverwoods Field Lab on the Kissimmee River to learn about the largest river restoration project in the world! Targeting secondary and post-secondary students, we use the Kissimmee River as a living laboratory to immerse students in wetland ecology. Dozens of students from the Honor's College and the surrounding community have volunteered with CES. Students groups can participate in service-learning activities in the Robert J. Huckshorn Arboretum located in the heart of the campus. Through our volunteer Internship Program, students from the Honors College can earn school credit.
The Florida Atlantic University Center for Environmental Studies (CES) Coastal Resilience Research Lab examines human-environment interactions in the context of changing climates.
