Go Zero Program
Using The Conservation Fund's (TCF) Go Zero Program, the Center for Environmental Studies at Florida Atlantic University offset travel and energy use associated with the conference by planting 19 trees at Red River National Wildlife Refuge. These trees will trap approximately 22.6 tons of CO2 over their lifetime. In addition to cleaning our air, the new forests at Red River will filter the water we drink, restore sensitive wildlife habitat and enhance public recreation areas for current and future generations.

The Nassau /Duval Shorebird Signage and Education Project
The goal of this project is to help protect the imperiled shorebirds that depend on the islands, shoals and beaches from the St. Johns River to the St. Marys River for nesting habitat, as well as for foraging and resting grounds during long migrations. This project is being developed through a partnership between Audubon of Florida, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Recreation and Parks, FDEP Coastal Aquatic Managed Areas, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission the U. S Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, City of Jacksonville Parks, and Amelia Island Plantation, Company. Funds raised by this auction will provide for educational signage on the islands, shoals and beaches in addition to informational and interpretive displays at various access points in the region. Together, the partners will work to better protect our imperiled shorebirds for future generations to enjoy when they visit Florida's beautiful beaches.
