Student Programs

The Student Field Studies program at DuPuis Management Area is a unique and exciting way for secondary students to learn about Florida's natural habitats. Students engage in many educational (and fun!) activities while exploring DuPuis' diverse ecosystem. . In addition to the many fun activities at DuPuis, students can learn about nearby Lake Okeechobee's history, flora and fauna, and environmental challenges.

Dozens of students from the Honor’s College and the surrounding community have volunteered with CES. Students groups can participate in service-learning activities in the Robert J. Huckshorn Arboretum located in the heart of the campus. Through our volunteer Internship Program, students from the Honors College and local high schools can earn school credit.

Bring your students to the Riverwoods Field Lab on the Kissimmee River to learn about the largest river restoration project in the world! Targeting secondary and post-secondary students, we use the Kissimmee River as a living laboratory to immerse students in wetland ecology.
