Riverwoods Field Laboratory, nestled on 15 acres of land adjacent to the Kissimmee River, is the perfect setting for research, adventure and education. Our facility contains a fully-furnished conference center with a meeting room large enough to seat 25 people, as well as sleeping accommodations for up to 16 overnight guests. We have another building with accommodations for an additional four overnight guests. There is a screened-in picnic house complete with a charcoal grill if you are in the mood to dine outdoors. We have a fire pit with benches and firewood for a nice campfire – so be sure to bring s’mores!
CES owns a 30-foot US Coast Guard pontoon boat, the Kissimmee Explorer that holds a maximum of 20 guests and is the prefect way to explore the ecosystem and learn about the Kissimmee River Restoration Project. We have a US Coast Guard certified Masters Captain and crew that provides interpretive educational programs for secondary students, teachers and adults.
