CES hosts students from surrounding counties to participate in field studies activities in the Pine Flatwoods. These activities include orienteering, soil pH testing, monitoring plant diversity along a transect and measuring the height of a pine tree using a clinometer. All activities are correlated to Florida’s Sunshine State Standards to help prepare students for the FCAT.
