FAU’s Center for Environmental Studies (CES) can create customized sea-level rise maps highlighting the most vulnerable parts of your community. We can utilize best available data to illustrate socioeconomic, health, and physical risks related to climate change and rising seas. Coastal communities are already experiencing “Sunny Day” flooding and drainage issues. We can map extreme tides and storm surge on top of other layers, such as Census data. Inland communities have another set of vulnerabilities related to compromised drainage and groundwater flooding. We can map the projected impacts of rising seas for these issues using our groundwater modeling results. These maps can be customized to your needs.
