under a Future Climate Scenario

USGS, CES, Florida Sea Grant Sponsored Meeting
April 28 & 29, 2014
Florida Atlantic University Boca Campus

GOAL:

The goal of this technical meeting was to follow up on the previous one  that identified the potential impacts of sea level rise, temperature change, and changes in evapotranspiration and rainfall parameters for seven selected topics:
     A. Landscape
     B. Vegetation
     C. Wildlife
     D. Northern Everglades
     E. Biogeochemical
     F. Water management
     G. Coastal
Read more about the resources groups used to prepare for the meeting, the members of each group, and the meeting logistics.

OUTCOMES:

The key challenge addressed was:

How can we effectively enhance the work of Everglades Restoration through an adaptive management process that incorporates the current scientific knowledge of climate-related impacts into the restoration process?
